Clean Ocean Ensemble is a non-profit organization established in 2020 that is dedicated to solving the marine debris problem.
Utilizing proprietary low-cost collection technologies and digital tools, the organization promotes the collection, recycling, and data visualization of marine debris.
Furthermore, through \u201cmarine debris collection credits\u201d and sponsorship programs, we aim to collect corporate and individual support for sustainable resource recycling.
Based in Japan and in partnership with other parts of the world, we are creating a future that balances environmental conservation and economic development.<\/p>\n\n\n

At Clean Ocean Ensemble, we develop innovative technologies to retrieve marine debris that has been difficult to collect, and we operate the Marine Debris Map, a project that quantifies and visualizes what is recovered. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our guiding purpose is to add new value to marine debris collection and create options beyond volunteerism. The impact of marine debris reaches everyone\u2014not only those whose lives and livelihoods are tied to the sea. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Around the world, new technologies and systems are reshaping how collection is done. To help accelerate this shift, we have developed and deployed low\u2011cost, compact recovery devices that enable on\u2011water and river capture, including microplastics that have long been considered hard to recover. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a field often labeled \u201ctechnically difficult\u201d and \u201ceconomically unsustainable,\u201d we are using our technology and operating model to make it possible\u2014sustainably\u2014to collect more than the amount that structurally leaks into the environment. This is the value we aim to deliver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We often hear:
\u201cMarine debris collection doesn\u2019t pay, so it won\u2019t last.\u201d
\u201cThe problem is bigger than any one person; it\u2019s better to do nothing.\u201d
\u201cCollection is too hard; we should give up.\u201d
\u201cIt\u2019s not our problem. The next generation will figure it out.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, is it really acceptable to leave things as they are? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We challenge these assumptions and continue to present new options for addressing this social issue. True to our name\u2014Clean \u2022 Ocean \u2022 Ensemble\u2014we are committed to restoring a clean ocean together. We will keep expanding our collaborations and striving for a world with zero marine debris. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
